13th Month

I was thinking for a while if I should keep on writing of Daniellas development, as since she’s 1 now, it feels like everything is slowing down. Not so many things to write about no more..

Anyways, I have decided to keep up with her monthly updates until 18 months or so and then we will see. 🙂

As most of you already know, Daniella made her first steps one day before her Christening- 28th of September. She was still quite lazy to walk after that. Most of the time she preferred crawling rather than walking. However, now she is very confident to walk. It is not always so easy, as Daniella wants to be much more independent now – wants to walk on her own in the shop, not that happy to sit in her pram for long time. Challenge after challenge.:)

Daniella eats pretty much everything. She is also learning to use fork on her own- it goes well so far, just can get extremely messy! We bought her a baby bowl from Mamas & Papas that can stick to the table, so at least she doesn’t drop her plate on the floor. And she is enjoying it so much!

Daniellas sleep has not change much. Still likes to have two naps a day, still falls asleep at around 9.30, sleeps through the night and wakes up at around 7am or 7.30am. She loves sleeping on her tummy. But moves, turns and twists a lot in her sleep.

Since Daniella is now much bigger, her personality is starting to come out too. She is a sweetheart – very smiley, cute, loves hugs and kisses. Not only that. She can also be pretty naughty. Daniella will start screaming and bending backwards while you hold her if she gets upset about something. Or if mummy or daddy does not take her on their arms when she is asking to, Daniella will definitely show her disappointment quite loudly as well. We try not to react to those kind of performances, so hopefully she will change her tactics soon. Thank God that does not happen too often, so we are full of patience yet.

Daniella loves watching Teletubbies and listening to baby songs, such a Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Row Row Row Your Boat, etc. It’s funny to watch her dancing or trying to sing along with those! 🙂
