I am not that kind of girl who uses nearly one kilogram of make up every day. I used to love eye shadows, when I used to go party/ clubbing, however, I don’t remember the last time I used it. I think I would not remember how to apply them properly no more. 🙂
Anyways, I would not go out with no make up at all! Foundation, eye pencil and mascara are my essentials and MUSTs!
I tried a lot of different brands, colours, consistencies and these are my favourites so far. The ones I use every day and cannot imagine my life without them:
CREAM. I cannot live without it. But, honestly… I do not have my one and only… Creams I am still discovering. I like Olay brand and my least favourite so far is Garnier. I do prefer cream with no synthetic scent – no matter how nice it would be. And I always go for the creme for dry skin (even though my skin is not that dry) or anti-ageing (yeh, getting old..).
Before I go to sleep I use Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate (£36.00). This was a lovely present from my sweet colleague – friend. I love it. It leaves my skin smooth and hydrated. It’s got amazing reviews all across the internet and truly deserves it!
CONCEALER. I have just bought and started using this recently. I have Maybelline Anti-Age (again) concealer (£7.99) to hide my dark circles under my eyes. I don’t know if it makes any difference, as I don’t think I have very dark circles, but I use it every day before applying make up anyways. It makes me feel better. 🙂
FOUNDATION. Here I can call myself an expert. I have tried so many different brands. Starting from Loreal, Maybelline, Max Factor etc and finishing Chanel, Dior, Clarins, etc. At the moment my best of the best is bareMinerals. Love it, love it, love it! My natural skin colour is quite light, but I love looking tan, therefore I buy medium colour and it works perfectly on me. If you decide to buy bareMinerals for the first time, the best solution is BareMinerals Customizable 8-piece Get Started Kit. That one costs £49, but it includes Prime Time – Foundation primer, 3 brushes, Foundation, Original Mineral Veil, Warmth All-Over Face Colour, Get Started DVD. At the begging it might feel unusual, as this is not liquid foundation, but powder, however it does give a perfect coverage and you just simply fall in love with it! So I do recommend Bare Minerals 100%. Let me know if you tried.
EYELINER. I have got my one and only here too. It’s Max Factor Excess Intensity Longwear Eyeliner (£6.99). I love the fact that you don’t need to sharpen these. Just twist to get more product out. This pencil is super soft and smooth, glide on easily and most importantly, lasts really long!
MASCARA. At the moment I have got eye lashes extensions and I love it. Less hassle every morning while doing make up. Before my extensions I tried many different mascara brands at different costs, and my best was Max Factor False Lash Effect (£10.99). It separates eyelashes very well and it does give a bit of that false eyelashes look. I will certainly use it again.
LIP GLOSS. Simply Victoria Secret – Beauty Rush. I do not use lip sticks – have paranoia, that they will end up on my teeth or on my wine glass in the restaurant. I love nude/ pinky colours.
And that is it. These are the few things, that I could not survive without.. Not going outside without make up or in pyjamas, but not overdoing it too.
