Hey ho! 36th week of my pregnancy! Not much left and I really cannot wait now. Life is getting more complicated day by day. I feel super heavy, super fat, super tired, super moody and I really do not know how much longer I can live with it.
My weight is 65.5 kilograms now, which means that I only put 500 grams during past two weeks! Yay! That made me well happy!!! Anyways, it’s already 18.5 kilograms in total and that is pretty a lot. But I really don’t want to go back to my previous weight. I weighted 47 kilograms before I got pregnant and I looked definitely too skinny. My ideal weight was about 51 kilograms, so that’s where I would like to come back after giving birth. Fingers crossed.
Heart burns got really bad again. It sometimes feels, that I am going to throw up because of them. Still taking my Rennie tablets to make this at least a bit better.
Sleeping is not perfect too. 5 times a night to visit a toilet is my normal, regular night now. Thank God I can still easily fall back asleep after waking up to the toilet, so it doesn’t bother me that much. Got used to it. I also drink a lot of water at night. Sometimes 1.5-2 litres a night. Not sure of what makes me so thirsty, but it’s since the very beginning of my pregnancy. That explains the toilet bit, I guess…
I have this general weakness very often now days. It feels sometimes, that my muscles would not hold my body and I will collapse as soon as I stand up. It’s like you do a lot of sports after long break and you muscles get overloaded. But I don’t do any sports (apart from cooking and cleaning)… 🙂
Next week is my last week at work. I am finishing on 6th of June- Friday (my due date is 27th June). Looking forward to staying home now. It has really become hard. Especially travelling to and from work and sitting in one position for many hours. Pelvic pain gets so much worse then…
My food cravings have calmed down. Not that crazy about ice cream no more. But time to time I still want something sweet – cake, chocolate, etc.
Last Friday I had midwife’s appointment. All went well. She measured bump, listened to baby’s heart beats, all seems to be good now. Baby is much lower in my bump, head is nearly engaged, but he is still lying sideways.
Midwife has asked me about my birth plan and I said, that I really want epidural this time! So she wrote all in my maternity book and has advised me to let everyone know as soon as I arrive to the hospital for labour. HOWEVER. I am a bit confused. there is a new Birth Centre opened in our hospital. Apparently it is very nice and homey (even with a little personal kitchen) and partner can stay overnight if you wish to. But it is only available if you give birth without epidural – naturally. Why can’t I have both – epidural and nice ward????? 🙁
No stretch marks so far, but I have a feeling that I might get at least few at some point soon, as I literally feel my skin stretching and itchy. My Bio Oil is in use much more often now days on my growing bump, I hope it will help me not to get those silly stretch marks. We will see.
I bought pretty much everything for my hospital bag now. Just need to wash all baby clothes and to pack whatever I need. That will certainly be done next week – I will put a separate post of what I am taking to the hospital. Waiting is nearly over!!!
