For a pregnant women, whose due date is in just one week, I believe I lead a very busy life! Since I
started my maternity leave, I haven’t had a proper lazy day yet. I consider myself extremely lucky, if I manage to take a half an hour nap during the day. That really doesn’t happen every day unfortunately…
This morning I woke up at 6am. My own fault, would have slept a bit longer probably, but yesterday I asked Edward why he doesn’t kiss me recently before he leaves to work. So he did today. At 6am. And I could not manage to fall back asleep afterwards… (I asked Edward not to kiss me again for a while that early).
After Luka left to school and Daniella and I had breakfast, I have decided to get started with my deep kitchen cleaning. This was a job that I was really not looking forward to, but I was determinate to do it before baby is born. It took me longer than I expected (10.30am till about 2.30pm with short breaks), but I did a good job! All is shining now (I just left the oven for Edward to clean (he does it so well)). And am really happy it’s out of my way finally!
Today is my mum’s birthday and since the weather was nice, we have decided to have a little picnic in a countryside with my mum, sisters and their families. I put Daniella for her daytime nap, had a shower and started to prepare for our afternoon out.
As soon as Edward got back from work, we packed ourselves in the car and we were shortly on the way. Luka didn’t go with us, as she had rehearsals at school until 7pm.
We went to Belhus Woods Country Park. It was my sister finance’s idea, we have never been there before and we truly loved it! It is really pretty place not far from London. I do really recommend you to go there for some picnic or just a lovely walk… Woods, lakes, ducks, a lot of greenness, could not be better!
Kids loved feeding the ducks and running around. So much space for them to explore.
We really all had a wonderful time. Sunny, warm day, away, but not far from the city, quality time with the family. We will definitely return to Belhus Wood Country Park. There is so much more to explore. Most probably it will happen after our little one is born, as I am certainly not a good walker now. So glad the summer is only starting. I just really hope it will be nice and hot this time!
