What I Packed in My Hospital Bag for Labour

So finally finally finally – my hospital bag is now packed! It was exciting and together not easy at all, deciding of what shall I take. Luckily my hospital is only 5 minutes drive away (and 15 minutes walk), so in case I forgot anything, Edward can always drive back home to pick it up. otherwise, there is a huge Mothercare store just next to the hospital, that might come handy too!

So here is what I packed in my and baby’s hospital bag for labour:
2 baby blankets. I remember with Daniella I only took 1 blanket to the hospital, but then I was using my bathrobe to put underneath the baby. Therefore I am taking two little blankets this time.

1 pack of cotton wool pleat, baby towel, Sudocream (this was often our life saver when Daniella was a baby) and set of 2 Avent dummies.

I packed 4 babygrows. The sleeveless one was very first Daniella’s babygrow. Amazing how much she grew!!! I am really glad to get to use it for her baby brother now. 🙂

4 tiny baby vests. 1 long sleeved and 3 short sleeved.

2 muslins, 2 baby hats, few pairs of little socks and a pair of mittens (however, I remember being told by one of the midwifes after having Daniella, that I should leave baby’s hands uncovered, as they have to find their face and develop their senses. So I am not entirely sure if I am going to use those. Packing just in case.).

For myself in my hospital labour bag I packed pyjamas. Lovely, stretchy material and bigger size of course. I don’t expect to be straight away size XS as I used to be. especially after those 20 kilograms that I gained during past 9 months!

2 larger size tops and 1 stretchy leggings.
