A New Chapter: Reallocating!

I cannot believe it is happening! After 8 long years living in London here is our new chapter: reallocating to Stoke-On-Trent at the end of September. Exciting and scary!..

Life in London became ridiculously expensive. We really had enough. No matter how hard you work, it is never enough. Rent, bills, travelling and other expenses take everything you have. London is overpriced big time.  It’s time for a change!

Job opportunity for Edward came across recently and after long discussions, weighing up pluses and minuses we have decided to reallocate. Whole 3 hours drive, 178 miles away from London. The saddest thing about all this, that we will be so very far away from Edward’s parents and my sister and her family, who lives in London.. But hey, we are not moving to another country. We will definitely come to visit as often as possible!

We are not going to be alone there though. My cousin lives in Stoke-on-Trent with his lovely family and few more people that we know. It makes the whole reallocating thing feel much better. If they are happy in there why wouldn’t we be?

Currently we will be looking for the place to live in Stoke-on-Trent. Edward and I are going there on Wednesday evening or Thursday early morning for a few days. Hopefully we will find a cosy place to live and we can then start packing little by little.

Luka will have to change her school. I am a bit sad about that, as her current school was pretty good. I thought Luka will be devastated having to leave, but to my surprise she is excited and looking forward! What a relief.

I will keep you updated on how it all goes. Including house search and the whole moving thing. I just so hope it’s for the better. But when you think… No more overpriced rent, no more ridiculous charges for travelling, no TUBE STRIKES!!!!! Ahhh, why do I have a feeling that we will be happier there? 🙂 I really really do hope so. Yeh, thank God we are reallocating! 🙂my life, my passion, justina ivanauskiene, reallocating

  1. Urrghhh, moving sucks but soon you will be happy and settled in your new home. London is so expensive, I don’t know how anyone can afford to live there!
