Another month passed by and we have now reached 5 months milestone in this world! How soon! Time is definitely not waiting – our little baby boy is turning into a big personality day by day.
Harry is growing rapidly. Most of the ‘3-6 months’ clothes are already too small. He has been for such a short amount of time in that size, that many of them clothes were never even used! At least Pampers nappies are still remaining size 3. No change here.
Harry’s sleep at 5 months is all over the place at the moment – with ups and downs. Sometimes he sleeps throughout the night, but it never lasts. Then suddenly he is up at 3am (if not 2am) and wants to feed every hour or so till the morning comes. I blame it on his teeth (we don’t have them yet), as our baby looks in pain – tries biting everything and gets upset while doing this.
During the day Harry’s sleep has not changed much. He sleeps once or twice in the morning, then one few hours long nap from about 1pm till 4pm and then normally one more little nap at 6pm or 6.30pm. He settles for the night at about 9.30pm.
I am still nursing Harry – we haven’t started solids yet. My plan is to wait until 6 months with solids, but cannot guarantee I will manage, as the way he looks at us when we eat is just heartbreaking!
Harry loves his colourful toys! He now quite confidently reaches for them, shakes them if they make any noise, or (and), of course, puts them in his mouth! We just said good bye to our so loved baby bouncer today, as our 5 months old man is now too heavy for it. But we bought a Fisher Price Jumperoo instead on Black Friday from Amazon (I cannot keep quiet, I only paid £55 for it!!!), which Harry seems to love! Obviously, I just put him for a very short amount of time at the moment, as he is a little too young. But he knows already how to jump in it- such a smart little monkey! 🙂
Our other two favourite items for keeping mummy’s hands free are Mamas & Papas swing, that Harry never sleeps in, but loves rocking in it during his peak times and his Fisher Price Sit Me Up seat- that’s how we survive throughout the day – changing one after another, so baby doesn’t get bored and mummy can get on with her stuff. 🙂
Harry’s favourite game out of all though is interacting with people. He gives friendly smiles to everyone. Adores being talked to or tickled. It’s not often to hear him cry. We were really lucky with this adorable child!
