Happy 1st Birthday Harry

Today is a big day. Our youngest baby Harry celebrates his very 1st birthday. The whole year full of happiness, excitement, baby nappies, teething, rolling, sitting, crawling already passed by. Much faster, than I ever thought it would.

Happy 1st Birthday Harry

This boy has turned our life up side down. He definitely did. I remember so clearly, watching that fast appearing second blue line on my pregnancy test in shock. Gosh, I didn’t expect that coming. I remember then feeling hot and dizzy, having realised, that I was pregnant – I had to sit down on the sofa not to faint. And after Edward got back from work, I recall myself hesitating to tell him – we didn’t plan our little Harry, his appearance hit us by a huge surprise and messed our all plans up!

As much as I could not imagine my life with another baby then, I cannot see myself and I don’t want to even know where would we be without Harry now. Even though it took a while to get used to the fact about another baby coming into our family. I swear, I could not be happier right now. I just feel so complete. It feels like Harry was that missing piece of the puzzle, which has found its’ place. I finally feel, that I have everything I could ever wish for. Thanks to my children – I am feeling much richer than any billionaire on earth does – I really really do!

Happy 1st Birthday Harry

Harry himself, does not seem to be very excited about his 1st birthday, unfortunately. Poor baba has got a high temperature, for the third day in a row. I believe he is teething again. It’s not going too well this time. Harry’s temperature earlier had reached nearly 40 degrees! I gave him some medicines, but Harry threw everything out twice. One of those- all over me.

I am gutted, my baby is so poorly on his very 1st birthday, I really feel for him. 🙁 But even though we could not enjoy Harry’s day properly today, we will postpone it for Saturday. Edward’s Mum and Dad will be visiting, so we will have a small celebration with the family – just to pray Harry will be feeling better by then.

Happy 1st Birthday Harry

So very happy 1st birthday to our beautiful son. We love you so much!!! I know another year will go just as fast, so I will do everything I can to get most of our magic moments together. Many hugs, kisses, cuddles to you, our beautiful Son. xxxmy life, my passion

Teething

Last night was a struggle. Harry was waking up every hour or even every half an hour from 2am till 5am. After 5am he woke up again and was struggling to get back to sleep for more than an hour. I felt he was a little hot, but didn’t check the temperature. After nearly 1.5 hours I somehow finally managed to put him back to sleep, and after shushing the dog, who was desperate to go upstairs (she is not allowed) and putting Daniella’s duvet cover on for about 5 times (she keeps on kicking it off and then calls for me, as she is cold) I could finally go back to sleep myself. Children only allowed me to do so until 8am. I am knackered.

This morning our little Harry woke up with a temperature of 38 and poor thing looked as he was in pain. Harry was not crying, but was making sounds like a sad little puppy and kept on biting his top lip. No doubt it’s teething again.

6 months old baby boy teething

Harry’s first two, bottom teeth, came out on a Boxing day. The time, when our whole family, had a horrible virus – high temperatures and painful coughs. Harry was also suffering with the same virus and on the top of that, he was clearly teething. To sooth the pain then, we bought Nelsons Teetha Granules and it made a huge difference. It helped our little Harry feel much better.

After about two days suffering with his first part of teething, Harry’s white little pearls have finally made their appearance, one after another. Our baby was happy little boy again. Until today.

Poor monkey is struggling again. Temperature, fingers in his mouth, biting his top lip ( with his first tooth coming out, he was biting his bottom lip)! These are no doubt symptoms of teething again…

Same Nelsons Teetha Granules are helping us to survive throughout the day, it really does the job- Harry is so much more like his old self after taking this medicine. But I still feel so sorry for my little baby –  I just want to hold and cuddle him, it breaks my heart to see him suffering. 🙁 Continue reading Teething

Bye Bye Baby Clothes…

Today was a sad day. I finally decided to say goodbye to Harry’s baby clothes. By saying ‘baby clothes’ I mean sizes like ‘tiny baby’, ‘first size’, ‘newborn’ and ‘0-3 months’. I sorted them all nicely by the age and will be putting online later reluctant to sell. I am sure some other cutie might still find a good use of it. Some of Harry’s baby clothes had never even been worn – our little monkey grew out so fast!

Bye Bye Baby Clothes

While sorting the clothes, I couldn’t help, but feel slightly emotional. They are not ‘just’ bunch of baby clothes for us, they are full of memories and associations. Especially the little tiny ones…

Bye Bye Baby ClothesWhen Edward called me from work today and I explained to him what I was up to, he insisted me to keep Harry’s very first – Winnie the Pooh outfit. I was surprised he remembered it! Edward told me, he still recalls me telling him just after giving birth, of what to dress Harry in for the first time. How lovely, I really didn’t think he would. 🙂 So I am leaving this very first outfit for memories then… 🙂 Continue reading Bye Bye Baby Clothes…

Harry Starts Solids & Joie Mimzy Snacker Highchair Review

Today our little Harry reaches his half way through his first year. 6 months already. Just as I planned – we are starting solids at this stage. I think he is ready. 🙂

IMG_0062Harry Starts Solids & Joie Mimzy Snacker Highchair ReviewBefore we move onto the ‘serious’ food, we firstly had to get a highchair for our not-so-little boy. When Daniella was a baby, we went a bit over the top with choosing a highchair for her. We got her Mamas and Papas Siesta Highchair, that we paid £200 for. It was a lovely highchair, but definitely overpriced. We had decided to go with much cheaper option this time.

Joie Mimzy Snacker Highchair caught my attention accidentally – while we were looking for kids Christmas presents at Toys R Us. Suitable size – not too big, decent quality, pretty looking and only at the price of £39.99 (price drop from £49.99).

Harry Starts Solids & Joie Mimzy Snacker Highchair Review

That evening I did some research online and found, that Joie Mimzy Snacker Highchair has got very good reviews across the internet. Decision was made. The main question now was which pattern do we go for. There were two different owls patterns, 123 pattern (with numbers) and Parklife (trees). I was choosing between Parklife and lighter version of Owls prints. Parklife was displayed at the shop, but Owls I have only seen online. I have finally decided to go for Owls pattern without seeing it live. Bought it. And I now regret. 🙁 I think Parklife looks so much nicer. But oh well, it doesn’t affect highchair’s functionality. I still cannot get over this though. 😀 Continue reading Harry Starts Solids & Joie Mimzy Snacker Highchair Review

How my 3 Children (don’t) Get Along

Probably for at least next 20 years or so I wont be able to complain, that my life is boring. The three little monkeys (my kids 😀 ) in my household would not allow me this! So much happiness, but also plenty of  headache! Life was easy when I only had one daughter, and it has become very colourful after having my other two.

How my 3 Children (don't) Get Along

There is a tricky bit when it comes to my children relationship. Obviously, Harry is 5 months old only, so I can only predict yet of  what kind of personality he is going to have later. But I can definitely already see some bits and pieces watching the three of them.

Luka (my 12 years old daughter) and Daniella (3 years old) are both very competitive. They fight over their toys, chocolate, TV programs, even Harry’s attention! If Daniella sees Luka talking to Harry or rocking him, she immediately wants to take over and in case ‘princess’ doesn’t get what she wants, she then shows everyone how loud she can be (by screaming). And, believe me, she can be loud…

How my 3 Children (don't) Get Along

Luka on the other side, often forgets, that she is 9 years older than Daniella and is always desperate to prove her point. Sometimes it really drives me crazy, I then have no choice, but show them how loud I can be, ha ha! 😀

Not all days are bad days though. Luka and Daniella can play together very nicely, when they want to. Sometimes they both put their dresses on and dance for hours. They seem to have the same taste in music – Daniella knows all Luka’s songs! It’s really lovely watching them get along. Continue reading How my 3 Children (don’t) Get Along
