Semi Permanent Eyebrows in 2 Minutes- Wunderbrow Review

Semi Permanent Eyebrows- Wunderbrow ReviewTo begin with, very quickly about my previous permanent (tattooed) eyebrows experience. I had it done professionally few years back. It was OK, I didn’t regret it, but I would not do it again- it’s expensive, it doesn’t last forever (definitely not for 5 years, as they are promising), it’s pretty painful and doesn’t look natural. Now, that my eyebrows had faded, I had to look for another solution to make it look as nice and as natural, as possible.

During the past couple of years, I have tried many different products for eyebrows – some were ok, some of them not very good. But nothing wowed me ever until I discovered Wunderbrow.

Wunderbrow advertisement accidentally appeared on my facebook feed one day. It caught my eye, as it was promising long lasting eyebrows (for about 5 days if used correctly), no smudging, natural look and waterproof. Sounded like a perfect eyebrow kit for me!

It finally had my full attention, because of many great reviews and happy customers, that were thanking Wunderbrow for the amazing product. After googling it and checking Amazon reviews and elsewhere, it all seemed even more convincing – there were 99% positive comments across the internet. I had to give it a go.

Semi Permanent Eyebrows- Wunderbrow ReviewI bought Wunderbrow eyebrows kit from Amazon. I was struggling while choosing the colour, though. From the first glance, it looks pretty clear- Wunderbrow comes in 4 different colours – Blonde, Black/Brown, Auburn, Brunette. So the name says it all. BUT. After watching some videos tutorials and googling photos of people using Wunderbrow, I discovered, that their blond shade, (that would obviously be recommended to me, because of my hair colour) is almost invisible. It for sure would not be good enough for me. I like my eyebrows pretty dark. Almost too dark for my look. So after long thinking I have decided to get the darkest (!!!) Wunderbrow colour – Black/Brown.

My ‘new eyebrows’ arrived next day, packed in a little box. There were two items inside – a brush, very similar to the one from mascara and a bottle with the product itself. I was so excited to try! Continue reading Semi Permanent Eyebrows in 2 Minutes- Wunderbrow Review

Harry Starts Solids & Joie Mimzy Snacker Highchair Review

Today our little Harry reaches his half way through his first year. 6 months already. Just as I planned – we are starting solids at this stage. I think he is ready. 🙂

IMG_0062Harry Starts Solids & Joie Mimzy Snacker Highchair ReviewBefore we move onto the ‘serious’ food, we firstly had to get a highchair for our not-so-little boy. When Daniella was a baby, we went a bit over the top with choosing a highchair for her. We got her Mamas and Papas Siesta Highchair, that we paid £200 for. It was a lovely highchair, but definitely overpriced. We had decided to go with much cheaper option this time.

Joie Mimzy Snacker Highchair caught my attention accidentally – while we were looking for kids Christmas presents at Toys R Us. Suitable size – not too big, decent quality, pretty looking and only at the price of £39.99 (price drop from £49.99).

Harry Starts Solids & Joie Mimzy Snacker Highchair Review

That evening I did some research online and found, that Joie Mimzy Snacker Highchair has got very good reviews across the internet. Decision was made. The main question now was which pattern do we go for. There were two different owls patterns, 123 pattern (with numbers) and Parklife (trees). I was choosing between Parklife and lighter version of Owls prints. Parklife was displayed at the shop, but Owls I have only seen online. I have finally decided to go for Owls pattern without seeing it live. Bought it. And I now regret. 🙁 I think Parklife looks so much nicer. But oh well, it doesn’t affect highchair’s functionality. I still cannot get over this though. 😀 Continue reading Harry Starts Solids & Joie Mimzy Snacker Highchair Review

Tassimo Fidelia T40 & Nespresso Krups Inissia Coffee Machine Review

Tassimo Fidelia T40 & Nespresso Krups Inissia Coffee Machine ReviewEdward and I – we are both coffee lovers. Life without coffee = life without sun! The feeling in the morning, when you sleepwalk in to the kitchen and switch your coffee machine on – the sound, the smell and of course the taste of the freshly made coffee, starts waking you up immediately! And then, after drinking your very first cup in the morning, the boost of energy, that comes across is so pleasant! It all makes morning duties so much easier to cope with… How do people survive without coffee??? I don’t think someone would ever be able to convince me it is possible…Tassimo Fidelia T40 & Nespresso Krups Inissia Coffee Machine Review

Our very first coffee machine (or hot drinks maker) was Bosch Tassimo Fidelia T40, that Edward’s brother Jim gave us for Christmas couple of years ago. It was one of the best and probably most used Christmas presents ever (could be a hint, if you don’t know what to buy for your loved ones). Tassimo Fidelia T40 machine is nice looking, very easy to use and maintain. Has got a big range of teas, coffees, hot chocolate, that you can buy in pretty much any big supermarket. You can check out their huge range of hot drinks HERE. However, we used to mostly use it for coffee and Tassimo Fidelia T40 & Nespresso Krups Inissia Coffee Machine Reviewsometimes for hot chocolate. We really really loved it. The water tank of this coffee machine was big enough, so when guests come over, you don’t have to keep on filling it up with water every two cups. The only tiny little minus about Tassimo Fidelia T40 hot drinks maker was, that their pods are a bit pricey. But nothing, that you couldn’t afford.

However we recently decided to upgrade. After some researches, our final choice was  Nespresso Krups XN100140 Inissia Coffee Machine in Cream colour. We bought it in Curry’s, together with the froth maker. Machine came with 16 capsule assortment of coffees, which was very handy – we could pick our favourites without wasting money. There was also included menu describing all coffees. This Coffee machine makes two types of coffee – Lungo (regular cup) or Espresso (small and strong). Nespresso Krups XN100140 Inissia Coffee Machine is very compact and I really love the cream colour that we picked- looks great in the kitchen! They have a lot of different colours of the machines, to please everyone’s taste. 🙂 Continue reading Tassimo Fidelia T40 & Nespresso Krups Inissia Coffee Machine Review

Do you Shop in Aldi?

Do you Shop in Aldi?We happened to live in 3 different places within the past 4 years. This is probably the biggest disadvantage while renting a house. No stability whatsoever. But my post is not about renting today. Grocery shopping- an every day thing. Why do we prefer Tesco over Asda, Sainsbury’s over Morrisons or the other way around? Should we be embarrassed shopping in Aldi or Lidl?

As a family we used to always shop in Tesco, Sainsbury’s or Asda. We never considered shopping in Lidl or Aldi- we had the impression of it being of a low quality grocery store. However, for the past few years Aldi was the closest food store for us. In fact it still is – the only shop within walking distance from our current house is Aldi. So is it good or bad?

I know a lot of people who wouldn’t shop in Aldi, just because it could mean they are budgeting. And who ever wants to admit they are short in cash??? We used to be one of those- shopping in Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Morrisons or Asda, just because of the name. However, having Aldi store just next door for the past few years changed our minds and saved us a lot of money.

So what is there, in Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury’s or other stores, that you cannot find in Aldi?

Pretty much nothing! Aldi, like any other grocery store, has got raw and processed meats, vegetables, dairy products, frozen foods, etc. Probably the only item, that I am missing in Aldi, is my favourite Quaker Oat So Simple Porridge, Golden Syrup Flavour. If they were selling this in Aldi, I would be 100% complete with my food shopping there. But it is not such a big issue. I just buy few packs at a time, in another store. My Last Glossybox – August 2015

My Last Glossybox - August 2015Yes, this is it. I have cancelled my Glossybox, so this will be my last update- Glossybox- August 2015. I was actually planning to cancel my Glossybox subscription quite a wile ago. I simply found myself just storing most of the items received and not ever using majority of them. I was a bit hesitant of cancelling, as time to time I would still receive one or another item, that I actually love. But I now finally realised, that throughout the whole time- two years of subscription (!), there would only be a very few Glossybox goodies that I actually really fell in love with. I think the most attractive thing about this all Glossybox business is the actual surprise of what are you gonna find inside. Unfortunately I don’t have this excitement no more, therefore I am cancelling my subscription till the next time possibly. Continue reading My Last Glossybox – August 2015
