My Makeover & Harry’s First Haircut

Before I share our holiday in Lithuania experience, I thought mine and Harry’s haircuts deserve a special attention and the whole separate post. I really want to share this with you!

My Makeover & Harry's First Haircut

I had my haircut and colour done last week, on Saturday. I needed it badly, as I couldn’t control my hair no more and hated the way it looked.  I also wanted to look pretty before our holiday in Lithuania, of course. 🙂

This time I opted for a tiny change. My plan was to get my fringe back. I really missed it and (being completely honest) I love how it helps me to cover those fast appearing wrinkles on my forehead (I hate them so much!). In terms of colour, I wanted to add some darker highlights into my forever blond hair colour. I would have loved to dye it dark or chocolate brown completely, but darker shades simply doesn’t suit me at all! 🙁

I handed myself into Laura’s from Socio Hairdressing arms and was kind of hoping for the miracle!

I had highlights done- some blond and some very dark brown. We left more blond hair at the front, near my face and added many dark highlights at the back. After the colour was done, Laura from Socio Hairdressing cut my fringe and trimmed the ends. I was very happy with the final result! What do you think? (Sorry about my silly selfies, it wasn’t meant to go on the blog)

My Makeover & Harry's First Haircut

Harry’s first haircut ever was done in Lithuania. Our boy is not even 10 months old yet, but he was desperate for a haircut already! I booked the appointment for him at the place, that specialises in cutting children’s hair – have all the equipment required to keep little ones nice and calm- toys, cartoons, books… Harry was given an Ipad playing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star (his hit number 1). He was so interested in the song, that the hairdresser could cut his hair without stressing at all. Continue reading My Makeover & Harry’s First Haircut

Semi Permanent Eyebrows in 2 Minutes- Wunderbrow Review

Semi Permanent Eyebrows- Wunderbrow ReviewTo begin with, very quickly about my previous permanent (tattooed) eyebrows experience. I had it done professionally few years back. It was OK, I didn’t regret it, but I would not do it again- it’s expensive, it doesn’t last forever (definitely not for 5 years, as they are promising), it’s pretty painful and doesn’t look natural. Now, that my eyebrows had faded, I had to look for another solution to make it look as nice and as natural, as possible.

During the past couple of years, I have tried many different products for eyebrows – some were ok, some of them not very good. But nothing wowed me ever until I discovered Wunderbrow.

Wunderbrow advertisement accidentally appeared on my facebook feed one day. It caught my eye, as it was promising long lasting eyebrows (for about 5 days if used correctly), no smudging, natural look and waterproof. Sounded like a perfect eyebrow kit for me!

It finally had my full attention, because of many great reviews and happy customers, that were thanking Wunderbrow for the amazing product. After googling it and checking Amazon reviews and elsewhere, it all seemed even more convincing – there were 99% positive comments across the internet. I had to give it a go.

Semi Permanent Eyebrows- Wunderbrow ReviewI bought Wunderbrow eyebrows kit from Amazon. I was struggling while choosing the colour, though. From the first glance, it looks pretty clear- Wunderbrow comes in 4 different colours – Blonde, Black/Brown, Auburn, Brunette. So the name says it all. BUT. After watching some videos tutorials and googling photos of people using Wunderbrow, I discovered, that their blond shade, (that would obviously be recommended to me, because of my hair colour) is almost invisible. It for sure would not be good enough for me. I like my eyebrows pretty dark. Almost too dark for my look. So after long thinking I have decided to get the darkest (!!!) Wunderbrow colour – Black/Brown.

My ‘new eyebrows’ arrived next day, packed in a little box. There were two items inside – a brush, very similar to the one from mascara and a bottle with the product itself. I was so excited to try! Continue reading Semi Permanent Eyebrows in 2 Minutes- Wunderbrow Review

My Last Glossybox – August 2015

My Last Glossybox - August 2015Yes, this is it. I have cancelled my Glossybox, so this will be my last update- Glossybox- August 2015. I was actually planning to cancel my Glossybox subscription quite a wile ago. I simply found myself just storing most of the items received and not ever using majority of them. I was a bit hesitant of cancelling, as time to time I would still receive one or another item, that I actually love. But I now finally realised, that throughout the whole time- two years of subscription (!), there would only be a very few Glossybox goodies that I actually really fell in love with. I think the most attractive thing about this all Glossybox business is the actual surprise of what are you gonna find inside. Unfortunately I don’t have this excitement no more, therefore I am cancelling my subscription till the next time possibly. Continue reading My Last Glossybox – August 2015

After mVidal Sassoon Salonist Permanent Hair Colour 10/1 Lightest Cool Blonde Reviewy previous unsuccessful trial to dye hair at home, here I decided to take another shot and go ahead with a different brand! After some researching online I bought Vidal Sassoon Salonist Permanent Hair Colour 10/1 Lightest Cool Blonde. Reviews on that one are really reasonable, therefore I decided to try it out.
